May always feels like the month where everything softens — the light, the air, even our approach to beauty. It's that gentle shift into early summer where we want routines that feel easy, breathable, and naturally enhancing. Less effort, more glow.
This month's edit is all about simplicity, confidence, and those small touches that make you look instantly refreshed.
Ere Perez Coco Crayon
If May had a makeup mood, it would be a pop of colour — and the Coco Crayon delivers exactly that. Creamy, blendable, and beautifully pigmented, it gives lips and cheeks that soft, modern wash of colour that feels polished without trying too hard.
The formula is nourishing, comfortable, and never drying, making it perfect for warmer days when you want something that feels lightweight but still makes an impact. The blend ability means that you can have a soft flush of colour or a strong pop - whatever suits your mood and style!

How I Use It: I swipe it directly onto the lips - if I am wanting a bold look I use it all over but if I want to tone a bold colour down then I line my lips like a lip liner and then blend with my finger to diffuse the colour. Then I tap a little onto the cheeks and blend with fingers for a seamless look. It's the easiest way to look instantly put‑together. It looks great on the eyelid or in the crease as well - my favourite combo colour is Heart and Grace.
Best For: Anyone who loves multi‑use products, minimal makeup days, or a creamy, flattering pop of colour that works for every occasion. Perfect for travel too.
Ere Perez Lychee Colour Corrector
This is my secret weapon for any skin discolouration! Professional colour correctors normally come in colours that can feel confusing if you have not studied colour theory ( i.e. greens & lilacs) and whilst they work well they can need a bit of confidence and practice to use them. This is why the Lychee Colour Corrector is so brilliant. It neutralises discolouration and darkness without heaviness. It is particularly good for redness and if you do not like wearing much makeup then you can wear this alone, just covering the areas that you want to. Another way of using it for a light application is to first apply Madara's City CC Cream all over (this is lightness itself!) and then go in with the Lychee Corrector over the top just where you need it. It has a good amount of pigmentation so you also do not need to use very much.

How I Use It: I like to apply a product like this with a fluffy eyeshadow brush. I put a tiny amount onto the area in question and then use small and soft circular motions to move the product around. This prevents an uneven finish.
Best For: Anyone who has areas of skin discolouration and is looking to create a flawless canvas for their skin.
Charly Baron Kabuki Brush
A good brush can completely change how your makeup looks — and this kabuki brush is one of those quietly transformative tools. Soft, dense, and beautifully balanced, it buffs product into the skin for the most natural, seamless finish.
Whether you're applying foundation, powder, or softening the edge of your blush, it creates that polished-but-skin like effect that defines early‑summer makeup. Charly Baron is one of our newest brands and I feel in love as soon as I tried their brushes - but this one, this one is in a whole league of its own!

How I Use It: I use circular motions to buff foundation or a gentle a dabbing motion to lightly blend into the skin. It can also be used to blend cream blush or bronzer. It diffuses everything effortlessly, leaving no streaks or harsh lines.
Best For: Anyone who wants a flawless, even application whilst having the most delightful sensory experience of the softest brush out there!
A Soft Step Into Summer
These three favourites capture everything I love about May beauty: ease, radiance, and that naturally polished look that feels right as we move into warmer days. They're simple, uplifting, and designed to help you feel like your best self with minimal effort.
Pop back to The Edit in June for next month's favourites.
